In April we kicked off a new initiative to highlight film photography and film photographers. For our first film feature we wanted to highlight something fun with color and chose Lomography's Purple Chrome Film.
Our winner for the month of April is: Rich Spang
Rich shared a lot with us in April, capturing a variety of elements in the city, from Cherry Blossoms in the Quad at UW to beautiful, reflected landscapes.
Thanks for participating Rich!
For May, we are going monochrome and featuring Ilford's HP5. A super versatile and forgiving film stock. Rated at 400 ISO, this is a great all purpose film to have in your fave 35mm or medium format camera. Available in 4x5 or other large format options too!
Overall this film has a good tonal range and can handle a some time in the digital darkroom, after scanning.
Kate captured these images on a Yashica 124-G with Ilford HP5 film.
Show us your HP5 shots in May!
