Glazer’s Holiday Gift Guide 2018: The Best Cameras, Lenses & Accessories

Every year we see a release of new cameras and lenses, many of which we want to buy, immediately. We get excited to see new advances in technology or new focal lengths in lenses. This year was no exception to some pretty stellar announcements in the world of photography. For the holiday season, we’ve put together a sampling of the best cameras and lenses available!

Canon EOS R

This new camera from Canon offers a full frame sensor in a compact body, with a user experience that will be enjoyable for new and existing Canon camera owners alike. Offering a 30.3 megapixel sensor, a broad ISO range, 4K video and much more. This camera would be great for those interested in a broad spectrum of genres, including travel, landscape and of course, creating video. Consider paring the EOS R with the new Canon RF 35mm f/1.8 IS Macro STM, a compact, versatile wide angle macro lens.

Canon EOS Rebel T6 Kit with 18-55mm & 75-300mm Lenses

The Canon EOS Rebel T6 is a great camera for those just getting started in photography, or those who are ready to upgrade an older camera, to this newer model. At this price point it is a steal of a deal. The Rebel T6 camera offers an 18 Megapixel sensor, wifi and more! Included in the kit are two zoom lenses, which will give you great flexibility in photographing a variety of subjects.

Fujifilm X-T20 with 18-55mm f/2.8 – f/4

From Fujifilm the X-T20 is a robust, camera. With a vintage vibe, a compact body, a 24.3 megapixel sensor, Fujifilm film simulations and much more. When paired with the 18-55mm lens, this is a great option for a day outing, or even an extended journey.  The Fujifilm X-T20 is also available, body only in Black or Silver .

Fujifilm X-H1 

Fujifilm announced the X-H1 earlier in 2018. Offering 5-axis in-body image stabilization, a 24.3 megapixel APS-C sensor, 4K video and more. This camera bridges the gap from Fujifilm’s smaller cameras, into a great option for photographers who are capturing action, like sports or dance, as well those creating video content. Pair this up with an essential lens like the 35mm f/1.4 or go all in with a cinema lens like the MKX18-55mmT2.9.

Lensbaby SOL22 or SOL 45

This year Lensbaby announced the new SOL 22/45. A fabulous and fun lens, allowing you to create images with smooth blur and bokeh, but tack sharp, focus on your subject. Nikon Z7 w/24-70mm Lens

New from Nikon, their first full frame mirrorless camera. Featuring Nikon’s familiar menu system, grip and aesthetic, this camera marks a new era in their offerings. Compatible with the new Z Mount lenses, like the 24-70, or any Nikon F-Mount lenses (with an adapter), the possibilities are endless in image creating with this camera.

Nikon D850
