Film of the Month - September 2021: POLAROID
Welcome back to our featured film post. Back in April we began to highlight our favorite film stocks, through our blog, and of course through Instagram.
For July and August, we highlighted Dubblefilm, either their Bubblegum or Jelly option. It was a lot of fun!

SHARE YOUR FAVORITE POLAROIDS IN SEPTEMBER
For the month of September, we are shifting gears a little and exploring the world of Instant Film photography. Polaroid has been around since the 1940’s and in the time has seen a variety of incarnations. From small form instant cameras that you may have grown up with, to film backs that work on medium, and large format cameras.
Why instant film?
There’s definitely a sense of nostalgia and of course, instant gratification of seeing the work come to life.
Another element is the idea of a print. We engage in images daily via a screen, when we view a print, we slow down. We spend time with the work, we explore the scene and elements in the frame. Every time.
We are excited to share some fabulous images from Sarah LaTour, Sarah is Co-Manager of our Rentals department and has been creating really beautiful work with this film!
We would love to see your favorite Polaroid images throughout September. Share them on Instagram and use the following hashtags to also enter for a chance to win a prize from Glazer’s, including either a pack of Polaroid film, or a roll of film!

What film can we look forward to in October?
