This small, light, full-frame zoom lens covers 28-70 mm with minimal change in lens length. One ED and three aspherical elements suppress aberration, while a circular aperture enhances bokeh. Optical image stabilization minimizes blur in low light and telephoto captures, and in-body Active Mode1 is supported for enhanced stabilization. Dust and moisture resistance ensures reliability.

Extra durability and reliability for challenging outdoor conditions
Silicone gaskets around all buttons and switches, a rubber ring seal for the lens mount, and other refinements constitute an effective dust and moisture resistant design7 that maximizes reliability in challenging outdoor conditions. The front lens element has a fluorine coating that repels contaminants and makes them easy to wipe away if they do become attached to the lens surface.
