Design Details
The APO-Summicron-SL 35 f/2 ASPH. is made up of 13 lenses. Three aspherical elements correct monochromatic imaging aberrations and ensure high detail resolution. Nine of the lenses are made of specialized glass elements with anomalous partial dispersion. This allows chromatic aberration to be compensated for systematically. It results in clean luminous highlights without color fringing as well as very stable contrast right up to the edges. A floating element ensures consistent imaging performance over the entire focusing range – from 27 cm to infinity. Thanks to the precise autofocus, focusing is particularly quick and accurate. With a housing made entirely of metal, the SL-Lens is protected against dust and splash water and ready for daily professional use.
