Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and customer-focused Part-Time Photo Lab Technician to join our growing Photo Lab team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for film photography and a commitment to delivering high-quality scans and exceptional service to our customers.
The position will start at approximately 24 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours as lab volume increases. Candidates must be available to work weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scan large quantities of film negatives
- Print digital and film images using high-end photo printers
- Maintain and clean lab equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety
- Inspect processed images for quality and correct any issues
- Assist customers with their orders and provide technical knowledge about lab services
- Manage digital files, ensuring proper organization and archiving
- Ensure turnaround times are met, while maintaining accuracy and high quality standards
- Collaborate with the Photo Lab and other teams to ensure clear communication
- Process film using various chemical processes (C-41, B&W)
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a photo lab or similar environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Knowledge of various film formats and processing techniques.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities.
- Familiarity with scanning and printing software (e.g., Epson, Noritsu, Adobe Photoshop).
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Passion for analog photography.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to work weekends
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs as required to handle materials and equipment.

Salary DOE, starting $24 hourly. Range $24-$25 DOE
