How do I use the MagMasks?
- Install the Wide Lens with the grooves facing the flash, ensuring the MagBeam is fully collapsed.
- Add a MagMask to the back of the MagBeam. Remember, MagMasks work their magic exclusively when installed in the back of the MagBeam. Any other configuration won't project those captivating patterns you love.
- Place it on your flash, and you're ready to unleash your creativity!
Does flash zoom affect the projected image?
Absolutely! While the effect is subtle, we've found that zooming your flash to 70mm or beyond yields the best results. However, we understand that personal taste plays a big role in photography. So, we encourage you to experiment with different settings to discover the perfect combination that suits your style.
Do I need the MagGrip to use the MagBeam?
Absolutely! Consider the MagGrip 2 the backbone of the MagMod Core Line. Once it's snugly attached to your flash, you're ready to dive into a world of creative possibilities with any MagMod Modifier, including the game-changing MagBeam. What is the difference between the tele lens and the wide lens?
- The MagBeam Tele Lens is a precision 210mm fresnel lens, it expertly focuses your flash's light into a dynamic spotlight effect, amplifying your output by approximately 3 stops.
- The MagBeam Wide Lens is a 35mm fresnel lens designed to effortlessly project captivating patterns (MagMasks) inserted between the flash head and the lens.
