The on-set 19" 4K HDR DCI-P3 monitor-recorder-switcher for on-set review and video village workflows

The Sumo PRO-19 is a new 19" 4K HDR DCI-P3 monitor-recorder-switcher built for on-set production and video village workflows.

Building on the foundation of the widely adopted Sumo 19SE, this new model represents a significant step forward, positioning itself not just as a 4K monitoring tool, but with the addition of camera control and network connectivity it’s a central control hub for on-set collaboration and beyond.

Sumo PRO‑19 gives productions a powerful all‑in‑one hub for reviewing shots, managing exposure and lighting, and keeping every department aligned. It records in ProRes, ProRes RAW, and Avid DNx, supports RAW workflows up to 8K, and offers flexible media options with CFexpress or USB‑C storage - ideal for fast‑moving shoots.

It also doubles as a backup recorder, instant review station, and dependable confidence monitor. With tools like EL Zone, waveform, focus peaking, LUTs, quad‑view, and new user‑assignable function buttons, crews can work faster and with greater accuracy.

For connected sets, Sumo PRO‑19 includes Wi‑Fi, Ethernet, and direct uploads to ATOMOSphere, Frame.io, and Dropbox, enabling near real‑time review for distributed teams. AirGlu timecode keeps everything in sync, while built‑in NDI HX3 opens the door to flexible video village and remote production setups over standard networks.

Sumo PRO‑19 brings modern monitoring, recording, and connected workflows together in one flagship device, making it a must-have upgrade for creators.

To support the global launch, our marketing team has prepared marketing assets including product images, technical specifications and a sales guide. We kindly ask that you use these materials to help deliver a strong, co-ordinated release across all sales channels.

FAQ:

Can I calibrate the display?
Yes. Sumo PRO-19 supports calibration using a Calibrite Display Pro or Display Plus on PC/Mac with Atomos LANC cable (ATOMCAB018, sold separately).

Does it support LUTs?
Yes. Sumo PRO-19 can receive a LOG signal from the camera and apply a real-time LUT (Look-Up Table) preview that approximates what the final graded image will look like in Rec.709.

Custom LUTs (.cube files) can be loaded from a CFexpress card or external USB-C storage and used in conjunction with Sumo PRO-19’s built-in monitoring tools for precise exposure control.

What can the function buttons on the front panel be used for?
Up to six frequently-used features - for example any of the monitoring tools, playback modes, LUTs, anamorphic desqueeze etc. - can be accessed at the touch of a button, without having to go through the touchscreen menu. They turn Sumo PRO-19 into a professional control surface, optimized for speed, reliability, and personalized workflows in real production conditions.

Which feed is looped out?
This is selectable, in the same way as with the Sumo 19SE. The input selected as the ‘Program’ input is output over SDI/HDMI.

Are there different layout options for less than 4 feeds?
Sumo PRO-19 has 2 views, full screen for a single input, or a quad-split view showing all 4 inputs (or which ones are connected). We are actively considering how we can accommodate different viewing options with future firmware updates.
