The HSFM3 Cable allows you to trigger a flash that does not have a standard sync port. Simply slide your flash into the top shoe then connect the other end to your receiving PocketWizard and you are all set!
The HSFM3 does not have TTL support, so it is necessary to manually set the flash and adjust the power on the flash unit.
You should be able to sync the flash up to your camera’s X-sync speed.
This cable should work on virtually any flash capable of a single pin trigger, with a standard hot shoe, including Sony’s Multi Interface shoe.
The HSFM3 can also be used with a PocketWizard radio or a Raven from Fusion TLC. For example, if you would like to use a BT1 to trigger a Raven, you can connect the Raven to the HSFM3’s hot shoe. Use a female to female miniphone adapter, then connect the BT1 to the adapter.
Its hot shoe connection features a 1/4"-20 thread for mounting the flash off-camera.
If you break the hot shoe foot for the HSFM3, you can order a replacement bottom foot and install the new part yourself.
