Only 3" (8cm) in diameter, DVD-R/-RW format single layer discs can store up to 60 minutes of video and are compatible with most DVD players. Using a dual layer DVD disc, however, the DC22 also gives you the ability to record close to two hours of once-in-a-lifetime memories direct to DVD!

Imagine capturing every moment of your child's school play or concert without having to worry about changing the disc in the middle of the action. It's all thanks to the DC22's Dual Layer Recording System, which uses 3" DVD-R/-RW dual layer discs to record almost double the time (XP=36 mins / SP=54 mins /LP=108 mins). From curtain rise to curtain call, the DC22 puts extended recording power right into the palm of your hand.

Random Access and Easy EditingThe DC22 automatically records over blank disc space too, so you don't have to worry about losing precious shots. In addition, the DC22's DVD functionality makes it possible for you to review your footage quickly and easily without the bother of rewind or fast-forward searching. With the camcorder's Visual Index, you can review your footage at a glance and play the selection you want. You can even select shots and arrange them into a play list. It's like editing your video right in your camcorder!
